Dining in at Restaurant 1907? Here is the down low on the food, your ultimate guide to the do's and don'ts. This restaurant is located inside the Brookland Hotel in Weybridge Surrey, KT13 0SL. There is a car park on sight or alternatively, you can take the train but the 26 minute walk, is not it friend.
Let's start with breakfast, the best of the meals. The morning breakfast buffet covers all areas, you get a choice of hot and chilled food that caters to all and vegetarians too. It's only right to start off with some soft eggs... yes I like mine runny! baked beans, hash brown, juicy grill tomatoes, sausages and some toast on the side. If you still have an appetite, you can go in for some yogurt and granola or ask the kitchen to make some porridge oats for you. On the other hand, you can keep it simple and have some toast and fresh pastries with a variety of sweet or savory toppings. To wash breakfast down, you also get a choice of coffee, tea and a selection of fruit juices.
What to expect when experiencing their 3 course meal, I have tried the hummus and falafel, which was really packed with flavors, I'd rate that a solid 7/10. I tried their "cider & dill battered fish and chips " which I found quite disappointing. The fish was super oily and the batter to fish ratio was in proportionate, it took away from the overall taste. The chips were nice so I'll give it that. I'd rate it a 4.5/10, the food felt very greasy that evening.
I have also tried the " Brooklands Buttermilk Chicken Burger " which I was really looking forward to eating. My experience was short lived, the chicken burger was humongous, but under cooked in the middle. I was bummed about that, so I'd have to give that a 3/10 for that day. I know others who have tried the beef burger and said it was really nice, so I'll have to give that a try so they can redeem themselves.
Let's get into dessert, the "dark chocolate brownie" was a strong contender, it was rich and moist on the inside. I would rate it a 7/10. But the "lotus biscoff cheesecake" STOLE the show. I'd rate it an 8/10 and I would highly recommend this to all cheesecake lovers. They also have vegan dessert options which you can choose from. If you are just looking for a fancy bite, check out their afternoon tea. This was a game changer for me, I particularly enjoyed the scones with fresh clotted cream and jam. The sandwiches were okay, but slightly dry although the cake slices won me over. I'd rate it a 6.5/10 based in the food and the experience.
